"The 20th Swiss Watchmaking Fair in Basle" - Original magazine article (magazine clipping) which was removed from a 1950 Swiss magazine. Text in the article is in English.
The opening sentence of the article reads:
"The Management of the Fair is happy to have this opportunity, repeated each year, of re-establishing contact with the watchmaking trade on the eve of each Fair."
The article opens with a note from Prof. Dr. Th. Brogle, Director of the Swiss Industries Fair. It is followed by a page listing the Directing Committee members. Next are two pages titled "20 Years of the Watch Fair A Short Synoptic Table," which contains a few small black and white photos. This is followed by a section titled "Retrospective Glimpses" which contains a very quick glimpse into what was important or new in the watch world for the following years: 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1945, 1947, 1949. Also included is a list of exhibitors and a layout of the floorplan for the Hall at the Fair. Next is a section containing small black and white photos of timepieces by exhibitors partcipating in the Fair, titled: "The Handsomest Watch in our Collection: Communiques from the Exhibitors." (This last section is 16 pages in length, on 8 sheets of paper.)
The magazine article was carefully removed from a Swiss magazine.
[Please note: this is a magazine article/magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
The article in total (including all sections) is 38 pages in length (on 19 sheets of paper).
As with most vintage magazine clippings, there is some yellowing to the paper due to age as well as light wear and small bends.
The magazine article was carefully removed directly from a Swiss magazine. It is not a copy or reproduction. The rest of the magazine is not included.
[Please note: this is a magazine article/magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
