The clipping features a number of nice small black and white photos of some of the exhibitions, timepieces which were exhibited at the Fair, and of some of the visitors to the Fair.
The opening sentences of the clipping read:
"The Swiss Watchmaking Fair was held at Basle from 8th to the 18th of May. Using this year premises considerably larger than in 1953, it united more than 200 exhibitors of that trade, and received, within the framework of the Swiss Industries Fair, the visit of nearly 700,000 people coming from 78 different countries."
The magazine clipping was carefully removed from a Swiss magazine.

The clipping is 16 pages in length (on 8 sheets of paper).The pages have been left untrimmed so that the clipping forms a sort of "booklet" with the pages attached. There are tiny staple holes along the page edge from where the clipping was removed from the publication in which it was included.
As with most vintage magazine clippings, there is yellowing to the paper due to age. There are also a number of small bends on the pages and folds to the tips of some page corners.
