"The 75th Anniversary of Journal Suisse d'Horlogerie et de Bijouterie" - Original magazine clipping which was removed from a 1950 Swiss magazine.
Text in the article is in English.
The opening text of the article reads:
"When the Journal Suisse d'Horlogerie et de Bijouterie was founded the telephone and the motor-car were unknown, and one had not even dreamt of television. Watchmakers still measured with douzieme gauge, used paraffin for lighting, and the few machines used in watch manufacture were driven by steam and water power.
"The progress during the last 75 years is thus obvious.
"The Journal Suisse d'Horlogerie et de Bijouterie recorded the history of development made during this interesting period, which saw remarkable changes in watch manufacture."
The magazine clipping was carefully removed from a Swiss magazine.
[Please note: this is a magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
The magazine clipping is 17 pages in length (on 9 sheets of paper), including the front and back "covers," and includes numerous black and white images within the text.
Also included is an additional related article titled "Three Quarters of a Century of Swiss Watchmaking as recorded in the Journal Suisse d'Horlogerie et de Bijouterie" by L. Defossez. This article is approximately 15 1/2 pages in length (on 8 sheets of paper).
As with most vintage magazine clippings, there is some yellowing to the paper due to age as well as light wear and small bends.
The magazine clippings were carefully removed directly from a Swiss magazine. They are not a copy or reproduction. The rest of the magazine is not included.
[Please note: these are magazine clippings only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
