The opening sentences of the article read:

"L'horlogerie gagne en prestige et en variete a la Foire de Bale. Elle s'annexe meme des fiefs exterieurs. En effet, apres le grand cadran qui, qu fronton de la nouvelle halle, rappelle l'importance de l'heure, voice que l'on installe a l'occasion du 40e anniversaire des festivites baloises, un magnifique et monumental cadran solaire, dont le public jous apres jour, a admire la beaute et l'originalite."

The article is 2 pages in length (on 2 sheets of paper) and includes a couple of small black and white images within the text.

Also included is an additional clipping, titled "Stands de Bale." This clipping begins on the reverse side of the second page of the "Un candre solaire" article. The "Stands de Bale" clipping feautes small black and white images of some of the exhibition stands (displays) of some of the companies who took part in the Swiss Watch Fair. Main text in this clipping is in French (with photo captions printed in 4 languages). Companies with an image shown in the clipping are: Imhof, Admes, Cyma, Technos, Credos, Favre-Leuba, Patek-Philippe, Oris, Omega, Rolex, Breitling, Friedli, Ergas-Spera, and Universal. (There is one small black and white image shown for each company, with a very brief photo caption.) This clipping is 4 pages in length (on 3 sheets of paper).

As with most vintage magazine clippings, there is some yellowing to the paper due to age as well as light wear and small bends.
