"Swissair et l'aviation commercial suisse" - Original magazine article (magazine clipping) which was removed from a 1956 Swiss magazine.
Text in the article is in French with an English translation.
The opening sentence of the article reads:
"C'est a l'initiative du Major Arnold Isler, qui commandait alors nos troupes d'aviation, que la Suisse dut la creation de sa premiere ligne aerienne reguliere au debut de 1919."
Immediately after the article are some black and white images followed by an English translation of the article. In English, the article is titled: "Swissair and Swiss Civil Aviation."
The first sentence in the English section reads:
"The first regular air service in Switzerland was started in january 1919 at the initiative of the then commander of the Swiss Air Force, Major Arnold Isler."
The magazine article was carefully removed from a Swiss magazine.
[Please note: this is a magazine article/magazine clipping only; no other items are included.]
The article (including the English translation section) is 8 pages in length (on 4 sheets of paper).
As with most vintage magazine clippings, there is some yellowing to the paper due to age as well as light wear and small bends.
The magazine article was carefully removed directly from a Swiss magazine. It is not a copy or reproduction. The rest of the magazine is not included.
[Please note: this is a magazine article/magazine clipping only; no other items are included.]
