Original full-page Swiss magazine advertisement from the year 1948 for Mido Watch Company, Mido Ltd., formerly G. Schaeren & Co., Bienne, Switzerland and Miso Watch Company of America Inc., New York. Advertised on the page is their Mido Multifort Automatic watch model (NOT included). The advertisement was carefully removed from a Swiss magazine.
[Please note: this is a magazine advertisement / magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
Some of the text on the page reads:
"Arctic storms ...
"... and tropical heat"
"I purchased a Mido watch in March of 1942, just prior to my entering the armed services. That watch gave me four and one half years of incredibly accurate time-keeping without a malfunction throughout that period. My service in the army sent me to tropic climates and into heavy snows. I went salt-water swimming with it on and pampered it to no degree. It was banged about and shaken up - and it told me what time it was with better than satisfactory accuracy. Isidor Fink, 2088 Mogehan Ave., Bronx, New York"
The page measures approximately 7 3/4 inches wide by 10 1/4 inches high (including margins, if any).
There are some small bends on the page.
As with most vintage ads, there may be yellowing to the paper due to age and may be some small bends, light wear/edge wear. (Any significant damage or wear is noted above. Light wear and minor imperfections are to be expected.) [The image shown is of the actual ad offered for sale.]
The advertisement was carefully removed directly from a magazine.
[Please note: this is a magazine advertisement / magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
