Original full-page Swiss magazine advertisement from the year 1951 for Rolex Watch Company, Geneva, Switzerland. The advertisement was carefully removed from a Swiss magazine.
Please READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION and view the accompanying photo for an outline of condition issues. This ad is in very POOR overall condition.
Some of the text on the page reads:
"Five hundred years progress in fifty!"
"Forty and six years ago a young man arrived from Switzerland in London, to start a firm in Hatton Garden, the street that was the centre of London's jewellerytrade. His name was H. Wilsdorf."
[Please note: this is a magazine advertisement / magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
The page measures approximately 7 1/2 inches wide by 10 1/8 inches high (including margins, if any).
As this ad was located on the back page of the publication from which it was removed, there is heavy wear and some damage. The ad is in VERY POOR overall condition, with very heavy scuffing, soiling, bends, scratches, edge and corner wear. There is also some writing on the page (in the upper left corner and also near the bottom of the page). And there is a section of DAMAGE: tearing to the top layer of paper, just above the middle on the right side of the page. This tearing does not go all the way through the paper but does make a small section of the text unreadable. Please view the accompanying photo for details. [The image shown is of the actual ad offered for sale.]
The advertisement was carefully removed directly from a magazine.
[Please note: this is a magazine advertisement / magazine clipping only; no watch, clock, parts or tools are included.]
