"Joan Mitchell's Envisionments" vintage 1974 magazine article by Carter Ratcliff. The article/magazine clipping was carefully removed from a 1974 art magazine.

The article opens with:

"This 'second generation' Abstract Expressionist's painting has always involved the critic in a guessing game - is her true subject the abstraction of landscape? Is it sheer emotional charge, 'internal weather'? Or, as is freshly suggested here, is her subject the very nature of vision and visibility?"

The article is 4 pages in length [on 3 sheets of paper] and includes a few images within the text.

Because the pages are oversized, the article may be folded in half at the time of shipping.

This is an original article/magazine clipping [not a copy or reprint], which was removed from a magazine.

[Please note: This is a magazine advertisement / magazine clipping only; no prints, paintings, sculptures, books, catalogues, full magazines, or other items are included.]
